What are the new entry restrictions into Cyprus?
From the 18th of April 2022, you can enter Cyprus from any country of departure without needing to take a PCR or rapid antigen test as long as you hold a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a certificate of recovery. If you are not fully vaccinated or don’t hold a certificate of recovery you will need to produce of certificate of a negative COVID-19 test. Completion of the passenger locator form has been scraped for all passengers.

Definition of fully vaccinated
Cyrpus recognizes an individual as fully vaccinated if:
- It hasn’t been more than 9 months since they received their second dose of a 2-dose vaccine or 1st dose of a single-dose vaccine.
- OR, you have received a booster for either a 2-dose or single-dose vaccine.
- Travelers under the age of 18 should have received their second dose of a 2-dose vaccine or 1st dose of a single-dose vaccine.
Cyprus accepts the following vaccines: AstraZeneca, (Vaxzervia, COVISHIELD, SKBio), Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson&Johnson/Janssen, Sputnik V (Gam-COVID-Vac), Sinopharm (BBIBPCOVID-19), Sinovac (CoronaVac), Covaxin, Novavax Nuvaxovid COVID-19, CovaVax and
Sputnik Light (the latter only as a booster dose in the basic vaccination scheme).
Definition of recently recovered
A person is deemed to be recently recovered from COVID-19 if it has been more than 7 days since testing positive for COVID for a period of 180 days (6 months).
How do I prove I’m fully vaccinated or recently recovered?
To enter the Republic of Cyprus you will need to provide one of the following:
- European Digital COVID Vaccination Certificate or Vaccination Certificate from third countries that have joined the EU Digital COVID Certificate System (EUDCC).
- European Digital COVID Recovery Certificate or Recovery Certificate from third countries that have joined the EU Digital COVID Certificate System (EUDCC).
- A valid certificate of vaccination issued by the competent Authorities of any third country.
What if I’m not fully vaccinated or recently recovered?
To enter Cyprus if you are not fully vaccinated or recently recovered you will need to take a PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test within 24 hours prior to departure from a certified lab.
What are the local restrictions in Cyprus?
- Masks must be worn in all indoor areas
- At restaurants, the maximum group size per table is 12
- A local Safe Pass is required to access churches, conference venues, wedding venues, events venues, casinos, theme parks, children’s play areas, mini cruises, nightclubs, discos, music dance venues, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, pubs, and other catering facilities (including catering facilities in shopping malls), etc.
